According to international media sources, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei held an emergency meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council at his residence in response to the Israeli air strike in Beirut that targeted Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

There are conflicting reports about Nasrallah’s fate, whether he survived the Israeli bombing of Hezbollah’s headquarters or was killed in the raid.

The Israeli military confirmed today that Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah and a number of military commanders had been killed.
