The French Presidency announced the composition of the new government formed by the new Prime Minister François Bayrou yesterday evening, Monday.
Alexis Koehler, Secretary General of the Elysee Palace, revealed in a statement the line-up, which includes a number of former prime ministers, a number of ministers from the outgoing government who have retained their positions, as well as new names from all political orientations.
In the new line-up, Bruno Ritayo, leader of the Republicans in the Senate, has been appointed Minister of the Interior, Yannick Neuder has been appointed Minister of Health, while Sébastien Locorno remains Minister of Defence and the Armed Forces.
Former Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin was appointed Minister of Justice, while Rachida Dati retained the Ministry of Culture, Agnès Ronacher the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Energy, Climate and Risk Prevention, and Annie Guignard the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty.
