The Algerian Ministry of Health announced on Friday that cases of malaria and diphtheria have been recorded in the south of the country.

All the cases were among foreigners who had entered the country illegally from neighbouring countries, the ministry said.

All cases have been treated according to the established treatment protocols and the daily monitoring of the epidemiological situation at central and local level is guaranteed,’ it said.
