Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will attend a migration forum organised by the transitional government of national unity in Tripoli on Wednesday.
The Italian cabinet said in a statement that Meloni would be attending the Mediterranean Migration Forum, a conference on combating irregular migration.
Meloni will also be accompanied by Italian Interior Minister Matteo Bentidosi.
The forum, organised by the Libyan government in partnership with the European Union, aims to ensure integrated coordination under a single umbrella between countries of origin, transit and destination of migrants.
The Italian Prime Minister visited Libya on 7 May, where she met Abdelhamid al-Dabiba, head of the transitional government of national unity, Mohammed al-Manafi, president of the presidential council, and General Khalifa Haftar, commander of the General Command Forces (GCF).
