Putin and Abbas to Discuss Gaza Disaster and the Palestinian situation

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday discussed with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

This came during their meeting in the Russian capital Moscow, according to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Abbas “renewed the call for an immediate and urgent ceasefire in Gaza, an end to the ongoing Israeli aggression in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the convening of an international peace conference,” the agency said.

The Palestinian president arrived in Moscow on Monday for an official visit that will last until Wednesday, during which he will meet with Arab ambassadors accredited to Russia.
