U.S. announces $250 million in new military aid to Ukraine

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Friday announced $250 million in new military aid to Ukraine.

Speaking at a meeting of international supporters of Ukraine in Germany, Austin said that President Joe Biden will sign a new $250 million security assistance package for Ukraine that will enhance its ability to meet its military needs.

This comes as Kiev tries to counter Russian military advances in the east and repel Moscow’s devastating bombing campaign.
