Bilateral negotiations between Iranian and Russian presidents begin in Turkmenistan

Negotiations between Iranian President Masoud Bazhkian and Russian President Vladimir Putin have begun in Turkmenistan’s capital, Ashgabat. They are taking place on the sidelines of the international conference ‘Interconnection of Ages and Civilisations – the Basis for Peace and Development’.

Iranian media reported that Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Orshchuk, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin will take part in the negotiations.

Iranian President Masoud Bazhkian’s meeting with Boettin is his first since assuming the presidency of the Republic of Iran.
