Forest fire in southwest China’s Sichuan province

A forest fire broke out in southwest China’s Sichuan province on Sunday, and rescue and containment efforts are ongoing, local authorities said.

The fire broke out at around 6pm on Sunday in Angui village in Yajiang county, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.

The site of the fire has an average slope of 60 degrees and an altitude of 3,500 metres.
