Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday that Tel Aviv would not recognise the International Criminal Court’s decision to issue two arrest warrants against him and ex Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.
This came at a press conference in Tel Aviv after the ICC issued two arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant on Thursday for ‘war crimes and crimes against humanity’ during the ongoing genocidal war on Gaza.
Under the decision of the court, which has no police officers to enforce it, its member states are legally obliged to arrest Netanyahu and Gallant if they enter their territory and hand them over to the ICC for trial
