Oman’s official news agency reported on Saturday that Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said will pay a state visit to Moscow on Monday, April 22, amid Muscat’s ongoing mediation efforts in indirect nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington.
A Kremlin source confirmed the visit, stating that discussions will focus on key areas for further development of Russian-Omani cooperation, including trade, economic, financial, investment, cultural, and humanitarian sectors.
The talks will also address current regional and international issues, highlighting Oman’s active diplomatic role as a neutral mediator in Middle Eastern affairs.
The visit underscores Muscat’s balanced foreign policy and its efforts to maintain strong relations with global powers, including both Russia and the United States.
