13 Injured in Israeli Airstrikes Near Presidential Palace in Damascus

At least 13 people were injured on Wednesday following Israeli airstrikes targeting areas near the presidential palace in the Syrian capital, Damascus, according to a statement by the Syrian Ministry of Health reported by state news agency SANA.

The statement did not disclose the severity of the injuries or the identities of those affected.

Earlier in the day, Syrian media reported that Israeli warplanes launched a raid on the vicinity of the presidential compound, marking a significant escalation in a series of recent air assaults on sensitive locations across Syria.

Israeli Army Radio described the strike as a “warning shot” aimed at deterring the transfer of weapons in southern Syria and protecting members of the Druze community.

Syria condemned the attack as a violation of its sovereignty and international law, reiterating that such actions pose a direct threat to regional stability.
