13 Shot by U.S. Homeland Security Officers in Operations Targeting Migrants

Thirteen people have been shot by U.S. Department of Homeland Security law enforcement officers during operations targeting migrants in cities across the United States, four of whom died, NBC News reported.

The network said on Thursday it had compiled data on killings and shootings carried out by federal security units under the Department of Homeland Security since September 2025.

According to the report, 13 people were shot during migrant-related operations over the past five months, including four fatalities.

NBC News said those shot included individuals described as “suspects,” undocumented migrants, as well as U.S. citizens.

The Department of Homeland Security did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
