A severe storm and freezing temperatures in Gaza since Thursday have killed 14 people in less than 24 hours and caused widespread building collapses, as civil defense teams continue search and rescue operations under the rubble.
Civil defense and ambulance sources said six people were killed when a house collapsed in the Beir al-Najjah area in northern Gaza, while two others died after a wall collapsed in the Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City on Friday evening. Another person was killed on Thursday following a wall collapse in the Shati refugee camp.
