Seventeen Palestinians, including displaced persons, were wounded by Israeli army gunfire northwest of Rafah in southern Gaza, in areas from which Israeli forces had withdrawn under the ceasefire agreement.
Medical sources said most of the injured were transferred to Nasser Medical Complex, as artillery shelling targeted eastern Khan Younis.
The incidents are part of ongoing ceasefire violations that have killed 418 Palestinians since the agreement took effect, amid UN warnings over a continuing shelter crisis affecting nearly half of Gaza’s population.
