Mahmoud Abbas Participates in the International Egypt Peace Summit in Cairo

President Mahmoud Abbas is traveling today, on Friday, to Jordan and then to Egypt to participate in the International Egypt Peace Summit scheduled to be held in the new administrative capital of Egypt.

The International Egypt Peace Summit is set to kick off on Saturday in the administrative capital with the participation of several countries, aiming to discuss de-escalation measures in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, in response to an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Alongside President Mahmoud Abbas, leaders from countries such as Qatar, Turkey, Greece, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Italy, and Cyprus will be taking part in the summit, along with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.
