Thousands of Brazilian demonstrators orchestrated massive rallies on the previous day, fervently advocating for an immediate halt to the ongoing armed conflict between Israel and Gaza.
The protest, jointly initiated by Brazilian and Arab entities, bore the name of ‘The Solidarity March with the Palestinian People’ and unfolded along Avenida Paulista in São Paulo. The event necessitated the municipal authorities to impose traffic restrictions on this renowned thoroughfare due to the extensive participation.
The participants proudly brandished flags and banners emblazoned with powerful slogans like ‘Free Palestine,’ ‘End the Aggression,’ and ‘Palestine Resists.’ Their central demands included the official recognition by the Brazilian government of Israel as an apartheid state, the prompt implementation of a military arms embargo, and decisive action to curtail the ongoing Israeli atrocities in Gaza, as stated in their official declarations.
In a parallel vein, similar demonstrations transpired in Palestinian refugee camps and various cities across Lebanon the previous Wednesday, in a striking show of solidarity with Palestine.
Hundreds of residents from Nabatieh in southern Lebanon congregated for a collective display of support organized by Hezbollah, where they voiced their strong backing for Gaza and vehemently condemned the heinous acts committed against children.
During these gatherings, Palestinian flags were prominently hoisted, and the attendees fervently chanted slogans denouncing the protracted warfare between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas.
