Turkey and Qatar have established a medium-term target of $5 billion for bilateral trade, as announced by the Turkish trade minister on Tuesday.
During a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, they expressed the intention to achieve this target once the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) between the two countries comes into effect.
They emphasized the commitment to strengthen the partnership between Turkey and Qatar during Erdogan’s second visit to Qatar this year.
Additionally, on Monday, Turkey and Qatar signed 12 cooperation agreements across various fields and issued a joint declaration during the 9th meeting of the Turkey-Qatar Supreme Strategic Committee.
