EU Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, revealed today, Monday, the results of consultations between accredited European ambassadors to Libya and both the President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Manfi, and the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, and the UN envoy to Libya, Abdullah Battali, in Tripoli, last Sunday.
Orlando, in a tweet, confirmed that the participants in the meetings expressed their common support for the United Nations’ efforts to hold a meeting between the five main parties and involve the relevant parties in the elections.
Previously, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya announced its intention to hold a preparatory meeting for the meeting of the five parties in Tunisia in mid-December to discuss an agreement on the laws regulating the elections.
