On Monday, the Russian Security Council made public the information that foreign intelligence services and so-called “international criminal gangs” had attacked a number of locations this year, including government offices, the financial industry, the energy sector, and transportation.

At its meeting today, the Joint Information Security Committee of the Russian Security Council’s departments talked about cybersecurity concerns in Russia and the steps that need to be taken to improve them.

The committee also verified that communication networks and other facilities were the target of cyberattacks directed against Russian information infrastructure facilities.
