Due to the energy situation, Ecuador imposes a two-month state of emergency

Daniel Noboa, the president of Ecuador, declared a two-month state of emergency in response to the country’s persistent energy crisis, which has resulted in consumption rationing.

To maintain the population’s access to electricity services, Noboa issued a presidential decree: “A state of emergency is declared due to serious internal disturbances and the deteriorating social situation throughout the country, resulting from the exceptional situation of power outages.”
