Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday called for a ‘large-scale’ peace conference to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
‘The Middle East is a land with broad prospects for development and justice cannot be absent forever,’ Xi said at the opening of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum in Beijing,
attended by the leaders of four Arab countries (Egypt, UAE, Bahrain, and Tunisia) and foreign ministers and officials from both sides.
The Chinese president pledged that his country would provide an additional 500 million yuan to help alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
