At least five people were killed on Wednesday in a bomb attack on the town of Kanyabayonga in North Kivu province in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The militants carried out their bomb attack on a neighbourhood in Kanyabayonga on Wednesday afternoon, North Kivu military spokesman Mac Hazukay said, adding that the attack also left three others injured.
The more than two-year conflict between the army and militants has displaced at least 1.5 million people, according to the United Nations.
