Netanyahu agrees to participate in a new round of negotiations with mediators

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided today, Thursday, to send a delegation to negotiate the release of detainees in Gaza, according to his office. This decision comes a day after the announcement by the Palestinian National Resistance Movement Hamas of “exchanging ideas” with mediators aimed at ending the conflict.
A statement from Netanyahu’s office informed US President Joe Biden of the decision to send the delegation to continue negotiations to work on the release of hostages, without specifying the location of these negotiations.
It is worth noting that negotiations have been suspended for several weeks due to Netanyahu’s rejection of a proposal put forward by Hamas and Palestinian resistance factions, which the US administration had approved following its receipt from the Israeli government led by the far right.
