Tunisian police re-arrested presidential candidate Ayachi Zemal just minutes after he was released from prison following a court ruling, according to lawyers and his campaign team.

Zemal was arrested on Monday on suspicion of falsifying popular endorsements.

Zemal is one of three approved candidates in next month’s presidential election, along with incumbent President Kais Saied and politician Zouhair Meghzawi.
