Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed Kiev’s needs in the face of winter and Russian attacks on critical infrastructure.

Meloni held a bilateral meeting with Zelensky on the sidelines of the Ambrosetti Forum, held every year in early September in the town of Cernobbio on the shores of Lake Como in Italy, according to a statement from the Italian prime minister’s office on Saturday.

The statement added: ‘Meloni discussed with Zelensky the latest developments on the situation on the ground, winter conditions and Ukraine’s most urgent needs in the face of Russia’s ongoing attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure.
