More than 150 people have died as a result of heavy rains caused by Typhoon Yagi in northern Vietnam, where massive flooding has occurred.
A landslide killed 30 people and 65 others were missing in a village in Vietnam’s Wala Cai province, according to Vietnamese state media.
Vietnamese authorities confirmed that 155 people were killed and 141 others were missing, without specifying whether the toll included victims of the Lao Cai landslide.
Sixteen provinces and cities remain at risk of landslides and flooding, although many state media reported that water had begun to recede in some mountainous areas.
