Tunisia and China look forward to partnership and investment in the textile industry

The Tunisian Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafid, has discussed with Zhou Yingqin, Vice-Chairman of China’s National Textile and Clothing Industry Council, the prospects for investment and partnership between the two countries in this sector.

This came during a meeting between the two officials at the headquarters of the Tunisian Ministry of Economy and Planning, according to a ministry statement.

Earlier this month, Tunisian Prime Minister Kamel Medouri visited China to attend the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit.

For his part, Chinese Vice-Premier Deng Xuexiang reiterated his country’s support for Tunisia and its willingness to complete the projects agreed between the two countries.

According to the Chinese official, these projects include infrastructure, health and energy.
