Portuguese Grand Prix Set to Continue in Portimão for Two More Seasons

Organizers announced on Wednesday that the Portuguese Grand Prix will take place in Portimão for the next two seasons of the MotoGP World Championship.
The event made its return in 2020 after an 8-year hiatus, but the recent passing of the circuit’s CEO, Paulo Pinheiro, raised concerns about its future.
Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira called on the government to maintain the race, while Tourism Minister Pedro Machado emphasized its role in promoting Portugal as a tourist destination and boosting the local economy.
This year’s race was held in March, with Jorge Martín from Pramac Racing claiming victory.
