Algeria has announced the reimposition of visa requirements for holders of Moroccan passports as part of new measures related to national security.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this decision comes in response to what it described as activities threatening the stability of the country.

It noted that the Moroccan system has exploited the absence of visa requirements to allow the entry of intelligence agents that jeopardize Algerian security.
