Palestine and Armenia on Saturday signed a joint declaration to establish diplomatic relations to strengthen bilateral ties at all levels.
This came on the sidelines of their participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in the US state of New York, according to a statement issued by the office of Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa.
Mustafa and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan signed a joint declaration on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the State of Palestine and the Republic of Armenia.
On 21 June, the Armenian Foreign Ministry announced that Yerevan had officially recognised the State of Palestine, becoming the 149th country to do so.
