Russia said it shot down more than 100 Ukrainian drones on Sunday, sparking a massive fire and setting a residential building ablaze in one of the largest attacks in Russian airspace since Moscow invaded Ukraine in February 2022.

The Russian Defense Ministry said it shot down 125 drones overnight in seven regions. The southwestern Volgograd region came under heavy fire, and Russian air defenses reportedly shot down 67 Ukrainian drones.
