The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that it will hold an international ministerial meeting on the crisis in Lebanon on October 24. The meeting will focus on the political situation and humanitarian assistance amid escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
The ministry added that the aim of the meeting is to rally international support to meet the needs of the Lebanese people and to strengthen state institutions, especially the armed forces.
Israel has not been invited, and it remains unclear whether invitations will be extended to representatives of various political factions in Lebanon.
According to official Lebanese figures, the Israeli aggression against Lebanon has resulted in the deaths of 2,000 people since September 23, including more than 1,000 since October, coinciding with the start of Israeli strikes on southern and eastern Lebanon, as well as in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
