Security forces in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq began special voting on Friday for the region’s parliamentary elections to be held on 20 October.
A total of 215,960 security force voters are eligible to cast their ballots at 165 polling stations.
Voting began on Friday morning at 7 am local time and will continue until 6 pm.
Iraq’s Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) is overseeing the parliamentary election process for the sixth session of the KRG parliament.
