Tunisian authorities announced on Wednesday that 92 of their nationals living in Lebanon had arrived at Carthage International Airport from the Egyptian capital Cairo after being evacuated from Lebanon following the escalation of Israeli aggression.
A Tunisia Airlines plane landed at Tunis Carthage International Airport just before midnight last night carrying 92 Tunisians living in Lebanon who had expressed their wish to leave the country because of the war there,’ Tunisia’s official news agency said.
The Tunisian authorities had previously repatriated 325 Tunisians on two flights on 3 and 4 October.
The Tunisian community in Lebanon numbers around 1,970 people, most of whom work in higher education, medicine, services and tourism, as well as with the UN and international organisations.
