The Moroccan monarch King Mohammed VI made a cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday evening, increasing the total number of ministers from 24 to 30, in addition to the Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.
The reshuffle included the appointment of six new ministers, as well as the designation of six State Secretaries for the first time. Meanwhile, ministers in key sectors (foreign affairs, religious endowments and Islamic affairs, and interior) retained their positions.
The new appointments in the Moroccan government saw Amin Al-Tahrawi chosen as Minister of Health and Social Protection, and Azeddine Al-Midaoui appointed as Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation.
Additionally, Mohammed Saad Barada was named Minister of National Education, Primary Education, and Sports, while Ahmed Al-Bouari became Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, and Naima Ben Yahya was appointed as Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration, and Family.
These pivotal changes aim to support sustainable development and enhance responsiveness to national needs.
