Three Lebanese journalists were killed at dawn on Friday in an Israeli bombing that targeted their residence in the town of Hasbaya in southern Lebanon.
Three journalists were killed in a hostile Israeli air strike that targeted their residence in Hasbaya,’ the official Lebanese news agency said.
The local Al-Manar TV station said its cameraman, Wissam Qassem, had been killed in the Israeli strike.
Ghassan Ben Jeddou, chairman of Lebanon’s Al-Mayadeen TV, also reported that the station’s cameraman Ghassan Najjar and broadcast engineer Mohammed Reda were killed in the same bombing.
This is the third time that media crews have been targeted by Israel in southern Lebanon since the clashes began in October 2023.
