In an attack that took place today, Saturday, in southeastern Iran, ten members of the Iranian border guards were killed in the latest clash with militants believed to be from Sunni groups, according to Iranian media citing the Ministry of Interior.

Sources reported that the terrorist attack occurred in a region experiencing tensions in Sistan and Baluchestan, which borders Pakistan and Afghanistan.

News agencies Mehr and Tasnim indicated that the attack targeted police vehicles in the Taffetan area, without providing further details about the incident.

Sistan and Baluchestan province has been facing increasing security tensions in recent months due to attacks carried out by the group Jaish al-Adl, which is officially classified as a terrorist organization in Iran.
