8th edition of the Future Investment Initiative kicks off in Saudi Arabia

The eighth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII), launched by Saudi Arabia in 2017 to promote its Vision 2030, kicked off on Tuesday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

According to the initiative’s website, the meetings will run until the 31st of the same month, with the participation of local and international institutions and international investment banks. The eighth edition is expected to attract more than 5,000 guests and 500 speakers on a variety of topics related to the current era.

The eighth edition will include more than 200 sessions on economic stability, equitable development, combating climate change, artificial intelligence, innovation, health and geopolitical issues.
Yasser Al-Rumayyan, Governor of the Public Investment Fund, said in his opening speech that seven previous editions of the Future Investment Initiative had resulted in the signing of agreements and investments totalling $125 billion.
