The Chinese company “Build Your Dream” or BYD, a leader in electric vehicle manufacturing and battery technology, announced on Wednesday that it has achieved sales surpassing its global competitor Tesla in third-quarter revenues for the first time, as it advances in foreign markets.

The company also revealed that it generated operational revenues of 201.1 billion yuan (28.2 billion dollars) during the third quarter, reflecting a 24% increase compared to the same period last year, according to its statement published on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
