Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the dismissal of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, justifying the decision by the deteriorating trust between them, which made it impossible to continue managing the war in the current manner.
As part of the reshuffle, Netanyahu appointed Yisrael Katz as the new Defense Minister, while Gideon Saar was appointed as the new Foreign Minister.
In his first comment after the dismissal, Gallant affirmed that the security of the State of Israel “was and will remain his life’s mission,” as he stated.
