The European Union imposed sanctions on Iranian shipping lines on Monday, accusing them of supporting Russia’s war effort against Ukraine by sending drones and missiles.

The sanctions include a ban on transactions with Iranian ports used to transport these weapons to Russia, as well as a ban on exporting components used in the development of missiles and drones to Iran.

EU foreign ministers also imposed sanctions on three Russian shipping companies: MG Flot, VTS Broker, and Arapax.
