Al-Burhan Criticizes UN Security Council Decision, Affirms Imminent Defeat of Rapid Support Forces

Sudanese army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan criticized Russia’s veto of the UN Security Council’s draft resolution concerning Sudan, stating that it failed to address fundamental issues.

During an economic conference in Port Sudan, al-Burhan accused the Rapid Support Forces of exploiting ceasefire agreements to reorganize their ranks.

He reiterated his commitment to an internal solution and rejected foreign intervention, declaring their defeat imminent.
