Brazil and China sign 37 new bilateral agreements

The governments of Brazil and China signed 37 new bilateral agreements during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Brazil on Wednesday . Xi Jinping was received with military honours by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva at the Alvorada Palace, his official residence.


According to the Presidency of the Republic, the agreements signed cover agriculture, trade, investment, infrastructure, industry, energy, mining, finance, science and technology, communications, sustainable development, tourism, sports, health, education and culture.

Xi Jinping’s agenda in Brasilia follows his participation in the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, which ended on Tuesday
