Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a brief visit to the Kingdom of Morocco on Thursday, where he was received on arrival at the Mohammed V International Airport by His Royal Highness Prince Moulay El Hassan, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Morocco, and H.E. Aziz Akhannouch, President of the Moroccan Government.

According to the Maghreb Arab News Agency (MAP), this visit comes within the framework of strengthening the ties of friendship, cooperation and solidarity between Morocco and China, which have seen tangible development in recent years.

President Xi’s visit to Morocco follows his participation in the G20 summit in Brazil, and underlines China’s growing interest in investing in Morocco’s infrastructure and railway sector.
