Hamas announced today, Saturday, that one of the Israeli hostages held in Gaza has been killed due to an Israeli airstrike in the northern part of the territory.

The spokesperson for Hamas’s military wing, Abu Ubaida, stated that contact was lost with those responsible for the protection of the hostages, confirming the death of one female captive. He warned that the life of another female hostage remains in danger.

Abu Ubaida held the Israeli occupation responsible for the hostages’ lives, asserting that “Netanyahu and the leaders of his army bear full responsibility.”
