The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced that its fighters engaged with a group of 10 Israeli soldiers in the southern city of Rafah, resulting in fatalities and injuries among them.

The brigades stated that they targeted an Israeli military vehicle with a 105mm al-Yassin rocket north of Awad Tower in Rafah.
