On Tuesday, World Food Program spokesperson Leni Kinsley announced that over 700 trucks are en route to various parts of Sudan, aiming to expand the distribution of food aid.
Kinsley stated that the trucks carry approximately 17,500 tons of food assistance to feed 1.5 million people for one month.
Meanwhile, the United Nations reported that the ongoing conflict between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese army, which began in mid-April 2023, has resulted in over 14,000 deaths and 33,000 injuries.
