The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), the industry’s representative body in the Gulf region, has announced that the 18th edition of the GPCA Annual Energy Forum will be held at the Oman Exhibition and Convention Centre from 2 to 5 December, and will be attended by Gulf energy ministers and senior energy company executives.

Hosted for the first time by the Oman Petroleum Organisation, the Forum will address a number of key issues at the top of the industry’s agenda, including the transition to clean energy, how to promote sustainability and empower future leaders, the challenge of meeting the world’s food needs, geopolitical influences on the chemical industry, and innovation, among other key topics.

The second edition of the Solutions Exchange will take place on 3 and 4 December, with the first day marking the sixth edition of the Pioneer Award, which recognises an outstanding industry leader for his or her outstanding contribution to the development of the chemical industry in the Gulf region.
