WHO: Situation in Northern Gaza Deteriorates Due to Severe Shortages of Food and Medicine

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced today, Thursday, severe shortages of medicines, food, and fuel in Gaza, particularly in the north, and called on Israel to allow more aid to enter and facilitate humanitarian operations.
In this context, WHO’s Director-General, Tedros Adhanom, described the current situation as catastrophic, noting that 90% of displaced people are living in tents, which exposes them to diseases and malnutrition.
Adhanom also added that there is a significant shortage of essential medicines and that most humanitarian missions are facing obstacles, confirming that 12,000 patients are awaiting medical evacuation from the region.
