North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has assured steadfast support for Russia in its war in Ukraine during a meeting with the Russian defense minister, state media reported.

Kim stated that Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons results from direct military intervention by the United States, emphasizing that Russia is entitled to fight in self-defense.

He declared that Pyongyang will “invariably support” Russia “to defend its sovereignty.”
